The 2018 Design4Health Conference is now open for abstract for papers (deadline 26 March 2018) and posters (deadline 14 May 2018). They are inviting papers from researchers and practitioners for the 5th European D4H conference to be held in Sheffield, UK. D4H was established and is hosted by Lab4Living, a trans-disciplinary research cluster at Sheffield Hallam University.

D4H is an international conference that brings together designers and creative practitioners with researchers, clinicians, policy makers and users to discuss, disseminate and test approaches and methods. The events provide space to explore how design and health might continue to develop new ways of thinking and working, and how we might impact positively on the social, economic and cultural factors within our communities and beyond.

With increasing pressure to rethink our healthcare systems and set against complex and interconnected global challenges, we welcome contributions that interrogate meaning and assumptions relating to the terms ‘design’ and ‘health’.
