Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge XII – Europe’s only regular international, multi-disciplinary conference on incontinence technology – is scheduled for 13-14 November 2019 at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers HQ in London, and we invite you to “save the date” in your diary.

The organising committee, including D4D, are finalising an exciting conference programme including new innovations, materials and approaches, with full details to come soon.

Meanwhile, the programmes for the last two events in this two-yearly series can be viewed here:Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge XI and Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge X. Viewing these programmes should provide an accurate flavour of what to expect in 2019. For further insight into what to expect for next year’s event, read Alan Cottenden’s post-event editorial from 2017’s conference. Building on the success of previous years, key features will include:

  • Patient Panel: an interactive session with people who manage their incontinence using continence products, asking them to share their experiences and explain how they’d like products to be improved.
  • Thought-provoking talks: speakers from outside the incontinence world challenging us to think differently about what we do.
  • International Speakers: regular conference presentations from across academia, healthcare, industry and elsewhere, present the latest work around incontinence.
  • Interactive Events: A research poster competition and a series of discussion groups, together with plenty of time to network and meet the wider community. As ever, the whole event will be very multi-disciplinary and international.

This website will soon carry a call for papersdetails of how to register and – in due course – theconference programme. Please make a note to check it for updates from time to time, and do consider joining us for what is always an enjoyable, stimulating and informative event. Perhaps you have some work of your own you’d like to present?

The programme is still under development, but we invite you to save the date, and visit the event website here for updates.
