Congratulations to David Coyle, D4D’s Patient Partnership Lead, who has joined the influential NETSCC PPIE Reference Group.

The PPIRG is an advisory group to the PPIER (Patient and Public Involvement External Review) function of the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC). It advises on the development of effective PPI ways of working at every stage of the research management process.

PPIRG does this by advising on and supporting the development and Implementation of the NETSCC Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement(PPIE) Internal Framework that provides the strategic approach to PPI across the organisation. David has a breadth of PPIE expertise and experience within multiple research trials, and has been (and will continue to) work closely with D4D in technology development to meet patient need for more than 6 years. We are sure his contributions to NETSCC will be valuable in increasing the quality of PPIE in health research over the coming years.
