Starworks is a programme of collaborative research and driven innovation for the development of new technologies for children who have experienced limb loss.
Starworks brings children and their families together with key opinion leaders from the NHS, industry, clinical academia, and leading national research centres to identify and address unmet needs around childhood prosthetics.
The programme has now launched a new website and we invite people to visit to learn more about our work in this area…it includes working with companies to develop 3D printed covers for prostheses, sensors, better feedback, better limb-prosthesis interfaces and socket care, gaming attachments, ways to improve fittings, and ways to encourage physical activities for children using lower limb prostheses.
You can also learn more about our Ambassador programme for children and young people, and follow links to join our network of experts working in childhood prosthetics.
The Starworks website is available here.
