Quanta Dialysis Technologies results published from SC+ Haemodialysis system human factors testing
Quanta Dialysis Technologies have published results from the human factors testing of their SC+ haemodialysis system with 17 healthcare professionals and 15 home haemodialysis users. SC+ was designed to empower patients to take control of their lives by making selfcare and home haemodialysis more accessible through a device that is small, simple to use, and powerful enough to deliver dialysis adequacy. This addresses the need for a dialysis system that is appealing to patients while also being suitable for use across the continuum of care, from the clinic to the home.
These results from human factors testing with patients and healthcare professionals demonstrate that SC+ is easy to use—even with minimal training and a significant learning decay period—while offering a high level of use safety.
D4D are pleased to see the generation of evidence for this technology, following our early involvement in its development. Our current and previous Renal Technologies theme leads, Professor Sandip Mitra and Dr Elizabeth Lindley are members of Quanta’s Medical Advisory Board.
