D4D are to exhibit alongside NIHR at NHS England’s Health and Care Innovation Expo in Manchester, 4-5 September 2019. 

We and are exhibiting from the NIHR stand (173) – visit us to hear about some of our projects, how we may be able to collaborate with you, and about the wider elements of the NIHR.

Focused on the NHS Long Term Plan, Expo unites more NHS, local government and social care leaders than any other health and care event.

About Expo 2019

Health and Care Innovation Expo is the biggest NHS-led event of the year. Held every September at Manchester Central, it attracts around 5,000 people from the NHS, social care, local government, the third sector and the commercial sector.

Expo 2019, on 4-5 September, is focused on bringing the NHS Long Term Plan to life.

Expo inspires leaders and clinicians to make improvements for patients and service users – almost three-quarters pledge to start new projects or initiatives after visiting. It unites people from right across the health and social care sector to share perspectives, learn from one another, and find solutions.

Expo informs you about the future: it’s where you’ll hear the big announcements about the future of the NHS and social care, and meet the people leading transformation.

At Expo 2019, there will be a huge range of speakers and activities across the two days:

Main Stages

The Arena Stage at Expo 2019 focused entirely on keynote speeches and major announcements.

The Forum Stage will focus on professional panels. This stage will provide a forum for audiences to get involved in deliberative conversations and structured engagement exercises with senior leaders and innovators.

Theatres and Pop-up university

The five theatre rooms at Health and Care Innovation Expo are flexible, quiet spaces ideal for collaborative exploration of a single key topic or work area.

Pop-up university workshops take place in smaller rooms separate from the main conference hall, seating a maximum of 60 people. They sessions allow a bite-sized introduction to a single area of improvement practice that can be replicated elsewhere.

Feature Zones

Our feature zones are key building blocks of Health and Care Innovation Expo. Central to the conference floor, they provide targeted focus and deep discussion of major NHS-led innovation and development, celebrating and sharing success as well as exploring issues and challenges.
